 The PIK-AEI unit is designed to analyze relative phase core sample permeability by stationary and non-stationary methods at reservoir conditions.


 The X-ray system of three-phase saturation measurement (liquid/liquid/gas) is included in the complex. The radio-transparent core holder of composite material allows to receive X-ray radiography of a core sample being at reservoir conditions. 

 

 The system enables one to determine saturation in each core point (two-dimensional distribution of saturation), allowing to have the process of fluid filtration in sight and to record the current saturation value. The unit makes it possible to control the homogeneity of core samples and to trace the flow front and measure edge effects together with the saturation control on a real time basis.
